We made bees jealous

Denver, Colorado, USA

2026

Inspired by the warm glow of backlit, sunflower-colored stained glass and enhanced by the additive manufacturing tools we have in our studio, this stunning sign aspires to someday adorn the walls of a retail honey producer situated on a local apiary. This one-of-a-kind construction is actually a hallmark of Marfa Signs and can be reproduced for other private or commercial clients in their own theme and lettering. What onomatopoeia best represents your workplace? Let us know and we will put it in lights!

Look closer. A sign built of honeycomb.

Without giving away too much (although imitation would be the sincerest form of flattery), these letters were made with corn-based PLA plastic and specifically constructed to show off the honeycomb internal structure that is hidden during the day when not backlit. The variable letter height and movement of the font also give a dynamic 3D effect that draws a lot of long stares.

Reclaimed materials meet modern manufacturing

A perfect contrast to the bold yellow letters is repurposed and nicely-seasoned cedar fencing and some rusty ole steel staking. We love foraging for materials and give them a second chance, and are happy to say we have stockpiles that will now find new life as beautiful signage.
